The College is a vibrant learning community employing approximately 200 staff of which roughly half work in a support role. Set over 25 acres the site is diverse, offering a range of services to learners and the community. Our support staff provide a wide range of advisory and support services to students with a view to helping them meet their potential. We currently have a role for a committed, professional, and capable member of the team to join the Resources Centre.


PERSON SPECIFICATION

The ideal applicant for this role is someone who can demonstrate energy, passion and enthusiasm for helping students meet their goals. It is a fast-paced environment requiring a positive ‘can-do’ attitude, a good and appropriate sense of humour and the ability to work flexibly across a broad range of tasks. The suitable applicant is a person who enjoys working with, stimulating and encouraging young people.  


The successful candidate will be able to give a clear demonstration of: 

• Strong and appropriate communication skills, when working with a variety of different age groups 

 • The ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative

 • The ability to build and maintain trust with service users

 • Good administrative and record keeping skills

 • Experience of working in a similar environment

 • Willingness to undertake CPD

 • Empathy with the aims, values and mission of the College.


Main Purpose of job

To ensure the efficient running of the Resources Centre in all matters relating to stock maintenance, sales, copying, offsite system, copying maintenance, cash collection, high presentation standards in the materials produced by the College and excellent customer support for students and staff.
